Leica Minilux, 40mm Summarit, Kodak Gold 400, hand held, adjusted in PS.
Thanks Swann--I like this more the other two, and I agree with you about the first of the three--mbru65.
I agree but am grateful anyway you posted the other of the series. I consider it to be of good use for discussion and learn if not all so perfect pictures are posted. It shows how difficult it is to acheive a great shot. Thank you for your courage, I appreciate it.
my favorite from the series, too.
do you feel more at ease shooting with minilux? IMHO your m'lux pictures are brave and bold, and M6 pix are more "calculated". i might be just seeing things (again!), but that's my impression.
i like what you do with both, i'm just trying to figure to what extent does automation gives you freedom, and to what extent is it a limiting factor...
thanks for your time,
Yooloo--VERY good question. I used to have a Contax G1, but I used the Minilux much more. The G was a mix of auto and manual and bit weird. With the Minilux I do feel free to just shoot. I think I still need to master the M, in terms of spontaneity, pre-focus etc. It sure ain't easy. What is funny though, is that the tiny Minilux viewfinder has never been a problem--mbru65.
i had G1, too! what i liked about it was the fact that i could use it as P&S if i wanted, and could get serious stuff out of it, too. loved all the lenses (28, 45, 90), but had to let it go - never got used to the finder... ( funny, though, never complained about IIIf finder!?! ) G2 was/is much better, but let's leave this for another forum, ok?
thanks for your time and reply,
