Your image of Eaton Canyon is impressive and probably will be flowing like that for awhile. Nothing like record rains here in SoCal! Took a drive from the Inland Empire to the OC today. The hills through Santa Ana canyon are gorgeous. I hear there are some back roads one can walk to get to the poppies near Elsinore if you are so inclined. I may that tomorrow or Monday. Concerned or small heat wave may dry things out.
