Button next to lensmount function

Hello forum,

I think I have grasped most of the functions of my new camera except for the button on the right side of the lens mount. In the manual it says exposure check. How does it work?

Thanks Jaap Jan

Hello,

Isn't it just simple depth-of-field preview button? i.e. if you press it, apperture will set to set number.

Cheers,

Karel

That's not the button i mean Karel. I'm talking about the button that has the same size as the sutter-release button next to the lensmount, i.e. button nr.9 in thew manual.

Jaap,

I like Button 9: it activates the meter and is equivalent to half-depressing the shutter release. It's a hold-over from the extremely sensitive releases found on early RTS bodies.
