Can Zeiss Mutar II be used with Zeiss Mirotar 500/f8.0?

The instruction of Mutar II do not metion about the combination with Mirotar 500/f8.0.

Can you works together?

It will work, but you will end-up wih a rather dark F/16.0 lens...

I have tried it many times with success. It tranforms into a staggering 1000mm f16, like a very compact sniper gun. The focusing screen is dark but not as dark I expected. No apparent vignetting of the focusing screen due to the mirror size. Focusing is tricky but no problem if the scene is contrasty and bright. I use a Manfotto monopod with a ball head loading the camera with ISO400 slides. It gives quite good results.
