Can't install Dimage software. Help!

Just bought a New Old Stock Dimage Scan Multi Pro today. Downloaded the Dimage Scan 1.1.6 software from Konica-Minolta website. When I tried installing, I keep getting this error message at the end: "Error creating file. 1008:5,-5000 Access denied error"
I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8 on MacBookPro17" (Intel Core 2 Duo). I'm new to scanning too.
How do I get around this problem? Thanks.

I don't know how you could solve the Minolta/Mac software problem but you could try a demo of Ed Hamrick's Vuescan software. It supports a huge number of scanners and is very well respected, it's prolly better than the Minolta software. Vuescan Pro is what you need for the extra features. Steepish learning curve but there is online support on the website.
