film loading problems

When I am loading film in my 800si the camera will load but will not register on the screen as loaded....simply shows a film reading of "0". Any ideas what may be wrong?

Hi Alexia,

when you say the camera is loading - do you mean you hear the sound of film winding or did you check (without looking at the LCD) also whether the film is really winded up to the first frame?

I had this problem once when I pulled the strip of film out too far and it loaded funny. Had to open the back and manually stuff the film into the cartridge to get it in the right place. It worked fine after that.
