I have not, as yet, used my EOS 1D - I have been waiting for weeks now for Canon to supply my dealer with the diopter that I need. In playing about with it I note it is a bit heavier than the D60 - I was surprised to read in the handbook that I could use my Metz flash at a sync of 500th sec shutter - I naturally thought this was a misprint - but no way, I tried it out and the thing does sync at a 500th shutter, I was actually very surprised.

The possibilities with a Canon 1D are endless.
You could get lost in menu for weeks finding new things.
