Flash synch with new Metz

I saw something in a magazine (or somewhere) recently about a new flash unit from Metz with HHE or something? It was supposed to synch at higher shutter speeds than normal with most cameras. Up to 500th? Did I Imagine this or does anyone have info to clearify? Can this HHE(?) be used with N1/NX.

I am going to own a NX soon. I am also considering using a 3rd party flash with the NX, but do I need any accessory like flash adapter or what to make it work. Will TTL and other functions be preserved?
