Shooting into the Sun

I took this into the sun and it was nearly black and white from the contrast and all the high lights on the water. I really pushed this in SSP and I didn't know there were seagulls in the distance until I saw this on my computer.

Very nice, Tom, I like it!
I was doubtful about those backlit shots, the colours seemed strange to me, but I see that you get similar results (in terms of colours, I mean. Your shots are far better than mine).

Hi Tom,

I like the lighting in your shoot. Often times the back lit sun off of the ripples on the waters edge remind me of diamonds, something I can watch with out boredom. Attached are one of my backlit water subjects, and one of a landscape.
