Adapter for ZEISS lenses to other bodies

G

Guest

I know there has been a thread for Zeiss to EOS, but I don't find it at the moment.
Googling didn't help me much in finding adapters for ZEISS lenses to other bodies. There seems to be an adapter by KENKO to fit with NIKON, icluding a 1.4 Teleconverter. The german Kenko disptributor knows nothing about that.
News: There will be adapter to fit EOS-cameras by the german company Zoerkendoerfer, which is well known for their precise work. Accoding to their information, price will be at about 150.- EUR + VAT.

Anyone who knows other adapters ?

Hi all, I bought a Leica-R to Canon EOS adapter from Foto Walser, EUR 69: works great and is thin (should not affect infinity focus (?)). And a Contax/Yashica Zeiss to EOS adapter from a ebay.com guy from China/Macau USD 90 works great but one needs a screw driver to take it off again from the body as it is VERY thin. This leeds to shooting in AV mode. --Rainer

I'm thinking of purchasing a Kiev 60. Since I have several Zeiss C/Y mount lenses I'd like to use them on the Kiev. Does anyone know of any problems I might run into and where I might look for an adapter? Thanks.

Lyn, the Kiev 60 is medium format 6x6 (56mmx56mm) whereas Carl Zeiss Yashica lenses illuminate 24x36mm <font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•<font color="ff0000">•
Why not use a Pentacon Six TL + cheap but great Zeiss Jena multicoated lenses.
Rainer

Rainer:

Thanks much for your information. I've heard that the major problem w/ the Pentacon 6 TL is a "delicacy" of the frame advance lever which is not present in the Kiev 60. Yes, I think the CZJenas are quite good, except for the 80. Has anyone used the Arsat 80 or its previous incarnation, the Volna?
