This is the third filmscanner Nikon announced. The V ED seems to address the lower segment market. Here are the specs from Nikon:

Price for the Nikon V ED will be in Germany 749.- Euro and it will be available in a couple of weeks.

Hi. I am planning on going digital by buying a scanner and digitalizing my existing slides, both 35mm and 6 x 7. I am an amateur, but am interested in obtaining the highest quality possible for my prints. Can anyone make any recommendations?
