SD14 Autofocus Light

Hi - I'm just trying to get the hang of my SD14. I think I did what the manual suggests in order to get the autofocus light to come on, but it doesn't seem to be working. Is there a trick?

Press and hold 'Func' button twice change to 'S' from 'C'
then continue to sixth press 'AL' 'on'
Should now work.

uh-oh. The light does not seem to be working. Any other suggestions before I see if Sigma will repair it?

Lens also needs to be in AF mode?

Hi there
for the light to come on, the focus area must be set either to Centre only, or alternatively to all 5 areas. If either N, S, W, E focus areas individually are seleted, the light will not come on.
