C60 ZOOM Battery Options

I have several L1-10B batteries 4.0 Olympus.

The C60 Zoom 6.1 Meg Pix comes with a L1-12B.

The batteries look identical...Can I use the L1-10B in the C60 safely? It says to only use the L1-12B, but I can't see why I can't use the 10b, especially since the charger can charge either type.

Help!

Thanks,

Rich

They are compatible... the LI-12B is the replacement part for LI-10B (they don't make 10B any more) I believe has slightly longer battery life. I haven't seen the 12B to verify that the output voltages are exactly the same, but I am pretty sure they are.
