Auto Mode Failure

Hello,
I have experienced some trouble a couple of days ago with my M7.
On the Auto Mode, instead of shooting at about 1/60's, it shot twice at about 1/2's. Have you experienced similar problems? Is it a lightmeter failure or that of the automatic control of the aperture?

My suspicions would lie in the battery area. One of the following. Battery needs replacing, poor quality/fake battery, dirty battery contacts (use switch cleaner fluid). Wilson
 
My guess would either be the DX film canister reading sensors or the film-back contacts. I'd clean both with an alcohol Q-tip.

You should still be in Passport right? Then if that doesn't fix it, send it to Leica.
