Remote help

i own a e500 and recently purchased an infra-red remote for it, the problem i have is i cant figure out how to use it (no pw with it) can anyone tell me in simple terms what i have to do?

Well first off you have to choose the setting for it by pressing the little button that has the word copy next to it in green. Above that are three more little symbols for the shutter mode, i.e. Self timer, continuous, and remote.
