Who uses the Zeiss 3.5-5.6/35-70 Zoom?

Hi there, I need help from a user of the abive mentioned zoom-lens. I'v bought one secondhand, which seems to have a minor defect - the frontbarrel with the filter thread is not fixed - it can be rotated. That isn't normal, isn't it? Optically the lens performs very well...

If I recall correctly (I'm 5000 miles from my G2 ...), this is normal. There's some resistance so that you can screw the filter on but if you torque too much it rotates.

It's not broken.

How can you travel without your G2? The rotation is annoying when working with the Leica-polariser as I frequently do, thats all.
