    Hi there,

I already asked the same question in the german section of the nikoninfo, but thought it might be a good idea to get some international advice, maybe even someone from southern africa is reading along.

We're (my wife and myself) are travelling for about 3 weeks through Namibia visiting the typical touristic sites (incl. Etosha for 2 1/2 days) and some relatives there.

Question: what to bring along in my Tamrac Adventure 10?
    bold = must have

    Available equipment: D80
    Tokina 10-17 Fish
    Sigma 10-20
    Tamron 17-50/2.8
    Sigma 50-150/2.8
    Sigma 30/1.4
    Nikon 50/1.4
    Nikon 105/2.8VR
    Nikon 300/4
    TC14 EII

    Manfrotto Monopod 676B + Ballhead
    16GB memory card

2 Batteries + a recharger for the car

Room in the backpack is enough and carrying heavy duty not a problem.

What I defenitely think to need furthermore:
    - Tripod (ordered a Feisol CT-3402)
    - more memory cards
    - Polarising filter for my Tamron

What else would you bring along/ buy if you could spend +/- 500 Euros?

I'd be glad to receive some hints and advice of people who've been there or in similar places.

    Thanks in advance

    Mike from Switzerland

What I would take is one wide angle to telephoto lense say a 18mm to 250mm, one Polarising filter maybe a ND filter. And, because my interest is B/W film photography, a film camera with a 50mm lense, Polarising filter, ND filter, a tripod with ball head, a good flash and some rolls of B/W film, in my opinion film is still better than digital and great for Namibia.
